It’s pretty simple a whale enthusiast and lover who just happens to have an accounting degree and business experience. I am a bean counter, but with a huge heart. Boy does this make decision making interesting.
The numbers say do this and then the heart chimes in and say you can’t do it that way. Talk about confusing.
I am happy to report, however, heartfelt business decisions always helped me sleep better at night and enhanced our business operations.
The heart is a strong reliable force that I respect and listen intently to now. It doesn’t always make life easier. In fact sometimes just the opposite, but the heart always knows what’s best for the pod and that is what’s most important to Whale Being.
I have extreme gratitude for pioneers like Patagonia, Ivory Ella, Toms, etc. that proved social business models with heartfelt agendas can work and work well. Not sure without them I would have had the guts to try something like this.
So a BIG thank you to you all and keep up the GREAT work!! Lots of positive energy coming your way from the Whale Being team.
